Current Featured Profile PageThe Millennium
The content of the Featured Profile Page will change from time to time as warranted by the public interest in a particular group, to announce the presence of a new outstanding page, or to call attention to some particular content of the Religious Movements Page that may have been overlooked by our visitors. Our first Featured Profile Page consists of a series of short papers on various millennium topics. Each essay is followed by links to aid your exploration of the voluminous Web-based literature on the Millennium. We recommend that you read the Introduction first. The Millennium Page was created by Christopher W. Smith (cws2p@virginia.edu), an undergraduate history major at the University as partial fulfillment of an independent research project in the Department of Sociology. Mr. Smith was earlier a student in the New Religious Movements course and created a most interesting project on direct sales organizations as para-religious movements. He would welcome your thoughts and comments on The Millennium Page. Also available in this site section: |
